[Passenger Carrying Vehicles]
There
are 2 categories of PCV:

D1 |
- Minibus
with 9-16 seats. |
|
|
D |
- Bus/Coach/Autos/Decker
16 seats upwards. |
Full
car licence holders can drive a minibus with up to 16 seats, but
not for hire or reward.
There
is no staging in the route to your Category D licence. Candidates
must be over 18 to apply for their licence and take an assessment.
Candidates
must:
- be
over 18,
- hold
provissional PCV licence,
- pass
a PCV theory test.
